Timing is everything! Part I

I'm sure you've heard that before, right? Timing is everything. So to help you out a little with some timing... here is a list of things you may be pondering on purchasing in the near future and this will help you buy it at the right time ;) This will be a couple days of posting as there is a lot of info going to be shared :)

January

• Big Appliances - there are two really good times of the year to purchase. One is January. Some stores keep older stock through the holidays and then discount whatever is left at the beginning of the new year.
• Flooring and Carpet - Many homeowners want to fix up their homes for the holidays - sales for flooring and carpeting increase drastically through the end of December. New year hits and sales and prices plummet, making January a good time to buy.
• Furniture - besides the typical Holiday sales (Presidents Day, Memorial Day, 4th July, etc) January is one of two months that is the best time to buy furniture. Furniture is released bi-annually (February and August) so prices are slashed the month preceding to make room for the new arrivals.
• Linens and Bedding - You've heard of a "White Sale" it's been around a very long time, since 1878!! The White Sale comes with the New Year, making January the best time to buy. But always be on the look out for season styles to go on sale when they aren't so 'in style' :)
• Suits - Stock up on fall suits in January, remember to buy timeless styles.
• Video Games - New games come out in time for the holidays but often are not discounted like game systems. Hold off until January to get a better deal on your new game.
