This is really the only time I like living in AZ... seriously the winter sucks because I want it to be colder and have snow (ya I'm crazy) and the summer UBER sucks with it's 110 plus degrees and almost $700 electric bill (NO NOT KIDDING)!
Today was 85*... almost too warm but still OK.
I took Reiley to the library - I haven't taken her there in a long time, last time I took here there she threw an absolute fit, huge scene and well I think the picture below today's picture explains it all.
Last trip at the library 9.10.10 resulted in this picture in the car after the breakdown in the library...
ya... that was fun...
Anyway, after the library I went home to put together the ingredients for another loaf of bread for the bread maker. I knew hubby was going to play golf today, but I figured he would be home for dinner... well needless to say I guess the Garlic and Romano Cheese Bread will have to wait for tomorrow since he is not home still and it's almost 7:30pm.
Then off to the local city Park. Ean was brought by daddy once they got back into town from helping out over at Aunt Ann's house...
Reiley is a social butterfly... she talks to everyone... and everyone is her best friend ever! She met lots of friends today!!
Reiley bugged this group of kids the most... ok I guess not bugged but certainly took over! The mom says to her at one point, "Where is your mommy"? I said I'm over here... sorry she is barging in... she laughed and said she asked everyone their names and how old they all were... YUP, that is Reiley!
The girls dug a pretty deep hole and filled it back up, with their bodies... Reiley was the first one to start the bury process. So glad I made her take a shower before we went out today... :P
Then a little girl shows up with a puppy at the park... Reiley runs over and picks the puppy up off the ground. The girl was actually very sweet and had Reiley sit down and let Reiley hold the puppy... Reiley chased them all around the playground and held the puppy a ton... I think she loved the puppy!!
We stayed for a couple of hours - then it was off to get Ean a much needed hair cut...
I was surprised he let her spike up his hair in the front... I laugh every time we go in there... "Mom, how do you want it cut"? It's his hair - ask him!
After the hair cut I decided to spread my wings and venture to the Dairy Queen in Maricopa... I say venture because it's in one little area of town that well... is just not a place I would normally venture in to... but I wanted a chocolate dipped cone and so did Ean... and of course Reiley wanted a lick too.
So there we are in this hole of a DQ that is also a Shell Gas Station... some teenagish kids come in and are talking crap and really loud... I see one of them with a brown bag and then goes into the cooler grabs something and starts gunning it for the door. The owner of the Shell station yells at him that he needs to pay for that... the thug kid then starts yelling crap, cussing saying that is jacked up that he thinks he wasn't going to pay for it... REALLY kid? You were half way out the door! So he continues yelling loudly and cussing so I finally yell over him and tell him that I have young kids with me and I would appreciate it if he would stop all his yelling and cussing. Ean's eye's get super big. Afterwards, I thought about it... ya, this kid and his friends were thugs, and I forget that these kids carry... but at the same time I thought it was getting out of hand with the owner so I wanted the kid to know that I was sitting there and watching everything and stupid kid the police station is RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET!
Anyway, I made Ean really nervous, he even peeked out the store windows before we left to make sure the coast was clear.
I'll stay away from DQ... :)
Tomorrow I have to drive Ean just outside of town to meet his biological Grandmother... she likes to take her grand kids for part of spring break.. it gives Ean time to spend with her.. I mean why should I deprive her of a relationship with her grandson and Ean a relationship with his Grandmother just because his biological 'father' doesn't want to be part of his life? I shouldn't, and I don't and I'm glad he gets to spend and enjoy time with her and his cousins.
